Admission Notification II: Admission to Four-Year Undergraduate Programs (FYUGP) / Integrated P.G. Programs (IG) 2025-26 – Leftover Seats
The Government of Jammu & Kashmir, Directorate of Colleges (Higher Education Department) has announced Admission Notification-II for the Academic Session 2025-26.
Earlier, the admission process for FYUGP and Integrated PG Programs closed on 15th August 2025. However, due to vacant seats in various colleges and multiple requests from prospective candidates, the admission process has been re-opened for leftover seats.

Important Instructions for Candidates
- The College & Program-wise vacancy list (Annexure A) is available on the Samarth Portal and can also be viewed on respective college websites.
- Candidates must apply through the Samarth Portal 👉 https://jkadmission.samarth.ac.in/ within the given dates.
- Those who could not register earlier (due to late results or other reasons) can now also register and apply.
- Admission Criteria:
- If more than 15% seats in a subject are vacant → Admissions will be on First-Come-First-Serve basis.
- If less than 15% seats are vacant → Admissions will be through a Merit List based on 10+2 marks (including previously non-selected candidates).
- A Wait List will also be prepared by colleges.
- Fee Payment: After verification, the fee link will be activated. Selected candidates must pay within 2 days. If not, the seat will be allotted to wait-listed candidates.
- Already admitted students in any college are not eligible to apply for leftover seats.
Note for Colleges
- Admission coordinators must ensure timely activation of fee payment links.
- Colleges must not exceed approved intake capacity under any circumstances.
- Vacancy lists, merit/wait lists, and schedules must be published on college websites.
